Top 5 Educational Games on Android in the US: Q2 2023 Performance

The second quarter of 2023 showcased intriguing trends for the top 5 educational games on the Android platform in the United States. According to Sensor Tower data, each app experienced unique patterns in weekly downloads, active users, and revenue.

Kids Games: For Toddlers 3-5 by RV AppStudios saw a peak in weekly downloads at around 22K in early June, although it fluctuated throughout the quarter, ranging from 15.5K to 22.4K. Active users showed a general upward trend, starting from 56K at the end of March and climbing to approximately 62K by the end of June.

Minecraft Education from Mojang had a consistent increase in weekly downloads, rising from 18.5K in late March to about 23.6K by mid-June. Active users also followed an upward trajectory, starting at 60K and reaching nearly 67K by the end of the quarter.

ABC Kids - Tracing & Phonics, another offering from RV AppStudios, witnessed a decline in weekly downloads from 24.2K at the end of March to around 12.9K by the end of June. Active users mirrored this trend, decreasing from approximately 70K to 50K over the same period.

Prodigy Math: Kids Game by Prodigy Education Inc. experienced a decline in weekly downloads, from about 19.5K in late March to 6K by the end of June. Active users also dropped significantly, from 34K to 17K within the quarter.

ABCmouse – Kids Learning Games from Age of Learning, Inc. showed varied performance. Weekly downloads peaked at nearly 27K in late May before settling to around 13.8K by the end of June. Revenue saw fluctuations, reaching a peak of approximately $3K in the last week of June. Active users started at 152K and ended the quarter at around 132K.
